The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the official release of results for the 2025 Mop-Up Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) held on Saturday, June 28, 2025. This marks another critical step in JAMB’s mission to uphold transparency and integrity in Nigeria’s higher education admissions process.
According to a statement released by the board, results have been made available for 11,161 out of the 96,838 candidates scheduled for the mop-up exercise.
Candidates can check their results by sending UTMERESULT (typed as a single word) via SMS to 55019 or 66019, using the same SIM card used during UTME registration.

In a separate but equally alarming development, JAMB gave a detailed update on the outcome of its ongoing investigation into fake admission letters—a scam affecting thousands of admission hopefuls.
At a joint press briefing in 2024, JAMB and the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC) revealed that a syndicate fabricating fake admission letters had been uncovered. This led to the arrest of five suspects, currently being prosecuted in the Federal High Court, Abuja in the case titled:
