Davide Ancelotti, son of legendary coach Carlo Ancelotti and former Real Madrid assistant, has officially been appointed as the new manager of Brazilian club Botafogo.
Following the departure of both Ancelottis from Real Madrid at the end of the 2024–2025 season — with Carlo taking over the Brazilian national team — Davide has now taken his first steps into full managerial duties. The appointment, confirmed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, marks the beginning of Davide’s independent coaching journey.
Reports from Brazilian outlet Globo highlight that Ancelotti was previously linked with Scottish side Rangers, but ultimately chose to begin his managerial career in Brazil with Botafogo.
Meanwhile, in a separate development, Italian side Napoli has reportedly turned down a €60 million offer from Turkish champions Galatasaray for striker Victor Osimhen. Despite the rejection, Galatasaray is expected to return with an improved offer, having already reached personal terms with the Nigerian forward.
Osimhen, one of Europe’s most sought-after strikers, has continued to attract attention from top clubs this transfer window, and the ongoing negotiations could shape the rest of Napoli’s summer.
