Alvaro Morata’s transfer from Galatasaray to Como is currently on hold as the Turkish champions await the completion of a deal to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Galatasaray is reluctant to allow the Spanish striker to leave until they secure a new forward to lead their attack. Osimhen has reportedly emerged as the primary target, and negotiations are said to be in their final stages.
Romano confirmed the situation on Tuesday night via X, writing:
“Álvaro Morata will become new Como player from AC Milan… as soon as Victor Osimhen re-joins Galatasaray.
The condition for Gala to break Morata loan deal and send him back to Italy is [a] new striker to join.
And Osimhen’s currently one step away from Gala return.”
Morata, currently on loan at Galatasaray from AC Milan, has been heavily linked with a move to Serie A newcomers Como. However, Galatasaray is holding firm until Osimhen’s signing is finalized.
The Nigerian international previously played for Galatasaray early in his career, and his return would be a major boost for the club as they prepare for both domestic and European campaigns.
