Just two days after raising fuel prices, the NNPCL slashes petrol price 48 hours after hike, cutting the pump price from ₦955 to ₦900 per litre. This quick move, confirmed this Wednesday, comes amid market volatility and growing concerns over affordability.

This quick adjustment came in response to a pricing cut by Dangote Refinery, whose reduced supply cost forced NNPC to match up and stay competitive.

What Changed and Where?

  • In Abuja, major NNPCL stations—including Gwarimpa, Kubwa Expressway, and Wuse Zones 4 & 6—have adjusted the price down to ₦900 per litre.
  • In Lagos, NNPCL dropped prices to ₦875 per litre from the previous ₦915.
  • Independent stations responded more sluggishly, with Ranoil and Empire Energy in Abuja now selling at ₦955 and ₦950 respectively, down slightly from over ₦970
