Alleged vigilante operatives assault and strip a female NYSC corps member in Anambra State

Anambra State is reeling from outrage after a serving female Corps Member, Miss Edema Jennifer Elohor, was violently attacked and stripped naked by vigilante operatives from the Agunechemba Vigilante Group—also known as Operation Udo Ga-Achi—in Oba, Idemili South LGA. The alarming incident, captured on video, has sparked widespread condemnation from government and civil society alike.

Disturbing Viral Footage

The distressing video that circulated online shows armed vigilante members forcibly invading the Corps Members’ lodge on July 23, 2025. Despite presenting their NYSC uniforms and valid ID cards, the Corps Members faced brutal accusations of being “Yahoo boys.” Miss Elohor was physically beaten, had her clothes torn off, and was left bleeding and exposed.
