The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced the approved fares for the 2026 Hajj, reducing the cost for intending pilgrims by an average of ₦200,000 compared to last year.
NAHCON Chairman/CEO, Professor Abdullahi Sale Usman, said the new rates followed consultations with relevant stakeholders, including the Forum of States leadership, and were approved by the Federal Government.
This represents an average reduction of ₦200,000 compared to the 2025 Hajj fares, which ranged from ₦8.3 million to ₦8.8 million.
Professor Usman urged intending pilgrims to ensure they complete payment of their fares before 31 December 2025, warning that late payments could affect their participation in the pilgrimage.
Meanwhile, a NAHCON delegation currently in Saudi Arabia has signed agreements with the 2026 Hajj Service Provider Company (Mashareeq Al-Zahabiyya) and the Transportation Company (Daleel Al-Ma’aleem) to ensure improved service delivery for Nigerian pilgrims.
