Fear has gripped residents of Yola North Local Government Area in Adamawa State after a ruthless kidnapping syndicate abducted three brothers from the same household.
The state police command has launched a massive manhunt to locate the victims and bring the criminal gang to justice.
Taken to an Unknown Destination
The tragic incident happened on June 12, 2026. A heartbroken father, Samaila Musa, who lives in the Hullere Gwalamba area of Yola North, rushed to the State Intelligence Department to report the crisis.
He revealed that his three sons were suddenly snatched and carried away by heavily armed men. The names and ages of the abducted victims are:
- Adamu Samaila Sultan (24 years old)
- Ya’u Sani Baba Iyali (10 years old)
- Bilal Abdurrahman (8 years old)
Shortly after taking the boys, the kidnappers called the traumatized family and demanded a huge amount of money (ransom) before they would let the children go free.
Police Launch Immediate Crackdown
As soon as the report landed, the Commissioner of Police, Kabir Hassan, ordered a full-scale investigation. The command deployed high-tech tracking equipment and intelligence officers to hunt down the gang.
Thanks to this swift action, the police have successfully arrested one key suspect. The state police spokesperson, SP Suleiman Nguroje, confirmed the arrest on Thursday.
“The suspect is in protective custody and is providing useful information to assist the police in apprehending other members of the kidnapping syndicate,” Nguroje stated.
Rising Kidnapping Wave in Adamawa State
This disturbing event comes amid a series of aggressive security operations by the Adamawa State Police Command to smash criminal networks. Security reports show that the police have been battling several kidnapping syndicates across the state.
Recently, the command cracked down on a gang in Fufore Local Council where a victim’s own biological son was caught helping the kidnappers. The police have also teamed up with local hunters and the military to secure border towns.
For this current Yola North case, the police assure the public that the arrested suspect will be charged to court as soon as the investigation is complete, while operations continue to safely bring the three brothers back home.
