Weeks after the sudden passing of former child star and Hollywood actress Hayden Panettiere, the Greenville County Coroner’s Office in South Carolina has officially confirmed her cause of death.
According to official autopsy and toxicology findings released on September 22, 2026, the 36-year-old actress died from an accidental overdose resulting from the toxic effects of fentanyl combined with several prescription medications.
