Former Manchester United defender Gary Pallister has thrown his support behind Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak as the ideal signing for the Red Devils this summer. Pallister believes Isak would be a better fit at Old Trafford than other high-profile targets, including Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen.
Speaking to Metro, Pallister emphasized Isak’s proven experience in the Premier League as a key advantage, suggesting that the Swedish forward could be instrumental in helping Manchester United return to top form.
“Alexander Isak – he’s the player that is proven in the Premier League,” said Pallister. “He would be the ideal Man United signing for me… he would be the man for me. Manchester United definitely need a goalscorer.”
While Manchester United are actively searching for a reliable striker, they face stiff competition. Liverpool are also reportedly monitoring both Isak and Osimhen as they look to bolster their attacking options.
However, any move for Isak will come at a premium. Newcastle United have placed a staggering £200 million valuation on the Sweden international and are determined to keep him, especially after securing a spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League.
