Ademola Lookman Close to Kvaratskhelia in Quality – Fedele Urges Atalanta to Sell

Former Italian sporting director Enrico Fedele has advised Atalanta to cash in on Nigerian winger Ademola Lookman during the ongoing summer transfer window, suggesting he is nearing the level of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Fedele made the comments during an appearance on Radio Marte, where he endorsed Lookman as a suitable replacement for Kvaratskhelia, who joined Paris Saint-Germain in a high-profile move in January 2025.

“Would Lookman make the leap in quality? Yes,” Fedele said.
“His contract isn’t long and yet he commands a high value. Atalanta must sell him.”

The 27-year-old Lookman has recently been linked with summer moves to Napoli and Arsenal, following an impressive stint at Atalanta since arriving from RB Leipzig in 2022.

Fedele praised the winger’s development and likened his current form to that of Kvaratskhelia, who was instrumental for Napoli before his departure.

“He is getting close to Kvara. Various situations could make his move to Campania favourable,” Fedele added, referring to a potential transfer to Napoli.

Lookman has become a key figure at Atalanta, playing a vital role in their attacking line and delivering consistently in both domestic and European competitions.

With his stock on the rise, the decision to sell may now rest on whether Atalanta can resist interest from top clubs or decide to capitalise on the winger’s market value.
