Former Big Brother Naija Season 6 housemate, Sammie, has come under fire on social media following allegations that he defrauded a man, Emmanuel Idakoh, of ₦4.45 million under the pretense of securing a spot for him in the 2025 BBNaija edition.

In a viral video posted by popular videographer Lucky Udu, Emmanuel—who identifies as Young Barby—accused Sammie of orchestrating a scam that left him financially devastated. According to him, Sammie demanded multiple payments after an initial fee, pushing him to take out a loan and eventually sell his car.

“What hurts me the most is the fact that I was not defrauded by a random person but by somebody I trusted so much and considered as my brother,” Emmanuel said.

He further claimed that Sammie reassured him of a refund if things didn’t work out, but after the 2025 BBNaija audition list was released with his name missing, Sammie allegedly cut off all communication.

As of the time of this report, Sammie has not responded publicly to the accusations nor replied to inquiries from reporters seeking his side of the story.

In response, angry Nigerians and fans have flooded Sammie’s Instagram comment section, demanding accountability and refunds. Some users branded him a “thief” and “419,” expressing disappointment over what they described as a betrayal of trust.
