Nigerian Afrobeats sensation BNXN, formerly known as Buju, has revealed that the final touch to his evolving brand is to become “sexier.”
The Finesse crooner made the statement on Wednesday via his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, writing:
“All that’s left for me to do is to get sexier.”
BNXN’s declaration comes amid ongoing conversations about body image and self-confidence, especially within the entertainment industry. Over the years, the singer has been subjected to frequent body-shaming from online trolls, a trend he has publicly addressed several times.
In a notable incident, fellow singer Ruger had previously body-shamed BNXN during a heated online feud in 2022. However, Ruger has since expressed remorse for his actions.
“I feel bad that I body-shamed BNXN, I regret it,”
Ruger admitted in an interview last year.
Following the reconciliation between the two artists, they surprised fans by collaborating on a joint project titled ‘R&B’, signaling a new chapter in their relationship and careers.
BNXN’s latest statement suggests a renewed focus on personal image and confidence, indicating that his rebranding goes beyond music and into his overall presentation.
As fans continue to rally behind him, the message is clear: BNXN is embracing growth, style, and self-love—on his own terms.
