Spanish striker Alvaro Morata is finally set to complete a move from Galatasaray to Italian club Como, following the Turkish club’s successful agreement to sign Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen from Napoli on a permanent deal.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the development, revealing that Morata’s departure had been delayed for over a month as Galatasaray worked to secure Osimhen’s signature.
“Álvaro Morata, now set to join Como from Galatasaray as soon as all documents for Osimhen deal will be signed next week. Morata has been waiting for Como for one month… and now, all set,” Romano posted via X (formerly Twitter).
The delay in Morata’s transfer was directly linked to Galatasaray’s need to lock in a replacement striker before allowing him to leave. With the Osimhen deal now in its final stages, Morata is free to make his move.
Morata has already agreed personal terms with Como and will now return to Italy’s Serie A—a league he is familiar with, having previously played for AC Milan.
The double transfer marks a significant reshuffle in Galatasaray’s attacking line-up and brings Osimhen back into a league where he previously found major success.
