American singer Chris Brown has issued a strong message to fans and critics, asking them to stop comparing him to other artists.
In a candid post shared via his Instagram Stories, the ‘Under The Influence’ star expressed frustration over constant comparisons, asserting that few artists can match his consistency, independence, and resilience in the industry.
“I wish y’all stop comparing me to other artists and saying me vs someone else,” Brown wrote.
“Until one of these artists do all the sht by themselves with no help and the media constantly f*king with them, then come holla at me.”
Chris Brown emphasized that he’s been in the music industry for two decades, largely handling his craft without external support or major media push. He added that his drive comes from the need to make ends meet, not just fame or accolades.
Over the years, Brown has frequently drawn comparisons to music legends like Michael Jackson and Usher, especially for his vocal and dance abilities. Other artists he’s been likened to include T-Pain, Trey Songz, Mario, Akon, and Nelly.
