The Managing Director of EeZee Conceptz Limited, Nancy Nnadi — popularly known as Coach Nancy — has confirmed that peace talks are underway to resolve an ongoing royalty dispute with gospel singer Mercy Chinwo.

Nancy made this known in a recent statement where she publicly retracted earlier allegations made against Chinwo. Her retraction comes amid legal tensions between the award-winning singer and her former label boss, Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu, widely known as EeZee Tee.

In January 2025, Mercy Chinwo filed a lawsuit against EeZee Tee, accusing him of diverting $345,000 in music royalties. This legal action followed her exit from the label in 2023 due to unresolved financial disagreements.

As the court battle unfolded, Coach Nancy publicly accused Chinwo of financial misconduct. In response, the singer launched a defamation suit against Nancy, demanding both a public apology and the removal of all defamatory content from social media.

Over the weekend, Nancy took to her Instagram page to formally retract her accusations, stating that her actions were ill-advised and expressing hope for reconciliation.

“On the advice of my lawyer, and for the sake of peace and the love of God, I retract my earlier post about Minister Mercy Chinwo,” she wrote. “We also pray that Almighty God perfects the ongoing settlement process being facilitated by the Fathers of Faith between her and EeZee Conceptz.”

The reconciliation effort is reportedly being guided by respected religious leaders, signaling a hopeful resolution to the highly publicized dispute.
