To anchor his arguments in economic reality, Shettima urged Nigerians to pivot heavily back to agriculture, which he described as the historic backbone of the nation’s economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I called the governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno. He picked the phone and\u2026 said, ‘Let them come and start work at once.’ This is leadership,” Shettima explained. He noted that such administrative agility is exactly what Nigeria needs to create jobs and pull millions of citizens out of poverty.
