“Nani Weighs In: Speaks Out on Gyokeres’ Future Amid Arsenal and Man United Transfer Links”

Former Sporting CP and Manchester United star Nani has weighed in on the transfer saga surrounding Sporting striker Viktor Gyökeres, amid speculation linking him with a move to the Premier League.

Recent reports have suggested that the Swedish forward could go on strike to force a move away from the Portuguese club, following interest from Arsenal and Manchester United. However, Nani has dismissed such rumours, expressing confidence in Gyökeres’ professionalism.

Speaking to Metro, Nani said:

“I believe so, he is a professional. I believe he will show up [for training]. If he doesn’t show up, it’s because he’s going to another club.”

Nani further praised the 27-year-old striker, describing him as a “fantastic player” and noting the growing interest from top European clubs.

“He has done a lot for Sporting and has several clubs interested in him. It starts to create that anxiety, but I am sure that, whether he stays or leaves, he will have the right support and will be satisfied,” Nani added.

Gyökeres was a standout performer last season, scoring a remarkable 54 goals in 52 appearances, playing a pivotal role in Sporting’s domestic double-winning campaign.

Although both Arsenal and Manchester United have reportedly held discussions with his representatives, neither club has reached an agreement with Sporting for the prolific striker’s transfer.

As speculation continues to mount, all eyes are on whether Gyökeres will report for pre-season training, or if a big-money move to the Premier League is on the horizon.
