NDA Opens 78th Regular Course Admissions — What Prospective Cadets Should Know

Nigerian Defence Academy admission 2025 online application announcement

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has officially opened applications for its 78 Regular Course, with online registration starting Friday, November 28, 2025, and closing on April 30, 2026.

The announcement, issued by the Academy Registrar, makes the admission opportunity available to both male and female Nigerians who meet the eligibility criteria.

How to Apply — Step by Step

  • Interested candidates should visit the official portal: www.ndaapplications.net
  • On the portal, select “Purchase Access Code”, provide the required details and pay the application fee using REMITA after obtaining a valid Order ID and REMITA Retrieval Reference (RRR) code.
  • The application fee is ₦7,000. Only payments made through RRR codes generated via the official portal will be accepted — other payment methods will be rejected.
  • After payment, applicants must complete the biodata form, submit required credentials, then download the acknowledgement and parental consent forms.

NDA warns the public to disregard any fake or fraudulent admission lists or notices; in August 2025 the academy dismissed a fake list of successful candidates circulating online.

Who Can Apply

The admission is open to qualified male and female Nigerians. While detailed eligibility requirements (age, examination results, physical/medical fitness) are not repeated in the latest public notice, previous NDA admission cycles required:

  • A valid UTME score (with NDA selected as first choice),
  • O-level/WAEC/NECO/NABTEB credits including Mathematics and English,
  • Physical/medical fitness, and other background checks.

Candidates should read the full instructions on the portal before applying to avoid mistakes or disqualification.
