Bilateral Air Service Agreement Signed

Nigeria and Brazil have sealed a Bilateral Air Service Agreement (BASA) that will enable direct flights between both nations. The deal was signed in Brasília by Nigeria’s Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo and Brazil’s Transport Minister Silvio Costa Filho, witnessed by President Bola Tinubu and President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

Boost for Trade, Tourism, and Cooperation

The agreement aims to strengthen economic ties, promote tourism, and foster people-to-people connections between Africa and South America’s largest economies. Officials say this is a strategic step in Nigeria’s drive to expand global partnerships.
