Portable Fires Back at Bella Shmurda: “I Don’t Roll with Failures”

Nigerian street-pop artist Portable has publicly clapped back at fellow singer Bella Shmurda following comments made during a recent podcast appearance.

Bella Shmurda, in an interview on the Curiosity Made Me Ask podcast with Isbae U, was asked about the possibility of collaborating with Portable. In response, Bella dismissed the idea, stating there was no musical synergy between them and that he preferred to avoid unnecessary trouble.

“I just don’t see the connection in the music,” Bella explained. “I don’t want wahala, I want peace.”

The remark didn’t go unnoticed. In a fiery response shared on his Instagram page, Portable lashed out, accusing Bella Shmurda of being a “failed musician” who couldn’t afford to work with him. He went on to boast about his international recognition, claiming superiority in fame and influence.

“Anytime you wan do an interview, don’t mention my name again,” Portable warned. “You can’t feature me? I’ve been to America, London. No be who first blow o, na who dey blow dey go.”

He continued, “Which connection wan join me and you? You are a failure. I no dey roll or do music with failures.”

The exchange has sparked a buzz on social media, with fans of both artists weighing in on the escalating tension between the two controversial figures in Nigeria’s music scene.
