Stefan Ortega Faces Man City Exit with Trafford's Return Confirmed

Manchester City have informed backup goalkeeper Stefan Ortega that he should leave the club this summer, following the arrival of James Trafford.

The update comes from transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who reports that City’s decision is linked directly to the return of Trafford, who rejoined the Premier League champions to bolster their goalkeeping options.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabian outfit NEOM SC have made a major move in the market, agreeing a deal with AS Monaco to sign 19-year-old Ivorian prospect Saïmon Bouabré. The agreement includes a transfer fee of €10 million plus €2 million in add-ons, alongside a sell-on clause. Bouabré is currently in talks over personal terms with NEOM, with the final decision resting on the player.

In other transfer developments, Everton are still awaiting a final decision from Belgian winger Malick Fofana. The 19-year-old is reportedly prioritising a move to a club competing in the UEFA Champions League.

Due to the delay, Everton have shifted their focus, making enquiries for Spanish winger Assane Diao and Japanese star Takefusa Kubo—both currently with Serie A side Como. However, Como are said to have rejected a bid for Diao earlier this summer.
