Tinubu approves jobs and PhD scholarships for NYSC honorees — and Nigeria’s young achievers have every reason to cheer! At a grand ceremony in Abuja, President Bola Tinubu personally recognized 200 top-performing National Youth Service Corps members from 2020–2023 with federal employment, N250,000 cash awards, and postgraduate scholarships up to PhD level.
Represented by Minister of State for Labour and Employment Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, the President hailed the awardees for outstanding patriotism, discipline, and integrity. In a landmark gesture, he also ensured that 10 physically challenged veterans who served in difficult conditions would receive immediate employment.
Each award recipient is slated for federal civil service employment, coordinated immediately by the Head of the Civil Service and the Federal Civil Service Commission. Beyond the position and the ₦250K honorarium, every honoree—regardless of ability—earns a scholarship for postgraduate studies in any Nigerian university.
This bold move underscores the government’s renewed commitment to youth advancement across sectors—be it education, technology, entrepreneurship, or public service leadership
