Turkish football pundit Uğur Karakullukçu has revealed that Gianluigi Donnarumma is demanding the same salary as Victor Osimhen in order to sign with Galatasaray this summer.
Speaking on his YouTube channel while analyzing the club’s goalkeeper situation, Karakullukçu disclosed that the Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper is asking for a €25 million annual salary, plus bonuses—mirroring the deal recently agreed with Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.
Galatasaray confirmed the signing of Osimhen earlier this week, with the Super Eagles star expected to complete his medical on Thursday. The Turkish champions are now seeking a top-tier goalkeeper to replace veteran shot-stopper Fernando Muslera, who played a key role last season at the age of 39.
“Donnarumma is a man who left Milan, where he came through the youth academy, in limbo,” Karakullukçu said via Habersarikirmizi.
“He won every trophy at PSG and is now demanding the same salary as Osimhen—€25 million. He also wants a bonus.”
The football analyst cautioned the club against overspending on another marquee signing after committing heavily to Osimhen’s deal.
“Galatasaray can’t profit from such a goalkeeper. You’ve already pushed the envelope with Osimhen. If you also sign Donnarumma, you’ll be spending close to €250 million. Is that necessary? Not at Galatasaray.”
Karakullukçu believes a more practical solution lies with Ederson, who is reportedly open to leaving Manchester City. The 31-year-old Brazilian has emerged as a realistic target for Galatasaray.
“Ederson is a more reasonable choice. Galatasaray did well with 39-year-old Muslera last season. Ederson can also take you far,” he added.
While negotiations for a goalkeeper continue, Galatasaray fans are closely watching the club’s next move as it looks to bolster its squad ahead of the new season.
