Transfer: Isak Set to Become Liverpool’s Third Highest-Paid Player

Swedish striker Alexander Isak is poised to become one of Liverpool’s highest earners if he completes a high-profile move from Newcastle United this summer.

According to reports, the 25-year-old forward has informed Newcastle of his desire to leave, with Liverpool emerging as the frontrunners in the race for his signature. The transfer fee is expected to be around £150 million, making him one of the most expensive signings in Premier League history.

Initially, Newcastle had insisted Isak was not for sale, prompting Liverpool to splash £79 million on Hugo Ekitike. However, the situation has since changed, especially after Isak was left out of Newcastle’s pre-season tour of Asia, fueling speculation about an imminent departure.

Sky Germany reports that Isak is set to sign a lucrative deal worth approximately £250,000 per week—the same wage package recently agreed with Ekitike. This would place him as the third highest-paid player at Anfield, only behind Mohamed Salah (£400,000 per week) and Virgil van Dijk (£385,000 per week).

Isak currently earns around £120,000 per week at St. James’ Park. A move to Merseyside would not only elevate his salary significantly but also cement his status as a marquee signing in Liverpool’s evolving attacking lineup.

While no official confirmation has been made, Liverpool fans are watching closely as the transfer saga unfolds.
