Controversial Nigerian activist and social media personality, VeryDarkMan (VDM), has once again stirred the internet with a scathing diss track aimed at notable public figures including Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo, street-hop singer Portable, and popular cleric Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin.
In the newly released track, VDM took direct shots at Governor Okpebholo, mocking his reportedly leaked West African Examinations Council (WAEC) results, which showed dismal grades. The activist questioned the credibility of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for endorsing a candidate with such academic records.
“E8, WAEC result of a governor. INEC, shame on you,”
VDM rapped in one of the verses.
He didn’t stop there. VDM revived his ongoing feud with Portable, referencing the singer’s alleged tricycle theft case and a subsequent incident where the controversial artist was reportedly attacked and detained.
The diss track also took aim at Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin, a well-known religious figure, with VDM ridiculing the cleric’s spiritual items, such as “healing water,” and accusing him of exploiting vulnerable followers for personal gain.
The track has gone viral, triggering a wave of reactions on social media. While some fans hailed VeryDarkMan’s unapologetic style and fearless critique of public figures, others condemned the track as insensitive and disrespectful.
Here are a few notable reactions:
• @jack_sonsucess: “What a jam!”

VeryDarkMan remains one of the most divisive voices in Nigeria’s digital space, and his latest release only adds fuel to his growing reputation as a fearless (and often controversial) truth-teller—or troll, depending on who you ask
